  • Be polite.  Be respectful.  Show your support as well as your opposition.
  • We encourage you to put the numbers for your members of Congress and other pivotal legislators’ numbers in your cell phone. It only takes a minute to call, and a brief statement is all that is necessary. The offices of our representatives have staff ready to record our opinions.
  • Know what you will say before you call. Use our script or prepare a brief statement.
  • Share your personal stories with your representative.
  • Remember you are better heard if phrasing corresponds to the values of the listener.
